Geosynthetic products refer to man-made materials applied in various antiseepage projects. They are typically made of synthetic polymer like polypropylene, polyester, or polyethylene. Geosynthetics appear in forms of geomembranes, geotextiles, drainage materials, geogrids, geomats and geosynthetic clay liners (also known as GCL) etc. They act as reinforcement, as separators, as filters, as drainage, and in erosion control while possessing a major function in construction, retaining walls, landfill, and slope stability applications. Geosynthetics address modern engineering problems with durable, cost-effective solutions by enhancing soil stability, eradicating erosion, or creating impermeable barriers.
